Our Staff
This is Joy Jelfs, the owner of Green Acres. Joy loves children. She was a 3 times outstanding childminder and has looked after children on behalf of Leicester City Council since 2009. She has a level 3 childcare qualification as well as Paediatric first aid and studied accountancy at University of the South Bank , London.
In setting up Green Acres her vision was not only to provide a safe nurturing environment for children to flourish but also to support parents who had to balance their family/work aspirations and make sure that parent experience of nursery/preschool life was filled with happy times.
Joy has an experienced, hardworking, talented team at Green Acres and on top of this says they are thoroughly nice people and a pleasure to work with.
This is Alison Lancaster - an early years teacher who is dedicated to the early years to ensure children receive the best quality start to their education. Alison oversees the quality of education and curriculum across all settings.
This is Jessica Jelfs - deputy manager. She has been working at green acres for 11 years. She holds a level 3 qualification and is also in charge of our baby room.
Jessica is currently studying for her foundation degree in early years childcare.
In her spare time she enjoys keeping active and listening to music.
This is Maria McClintock - qualified teacher. Maria has led our preschool room since January 2018 and has a degree in primary education from Birmingham city university. This, together with years of experience with the largest nursery chain provider.
In her spare time Maria likes to walk her dog and socialise with her friends
